These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SaaS Boat website, the SaaS Boat plugin for Figma, and related services (together, the “Service”) operated by SaaS Boat (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our [Privacy Policy], and our [DMCA Policy]. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

SaaS Boat is an independent design research platform offering curated SaaS interface screenshots, heuristic evaluations, user flow diagrams, and related research resources for designers, product managers, developers, and other professionals.

Content is provided for the purposes of reference, commentary, UX evaluation, and design research. Access to certain content or features requires account registration or paid access.

2. Third-Party Products and Trademarks

The Service features screenshots, names, logos, and references to third-party software products. All third-party product names, logos, brands, interfaces, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. SaaS Boat does not claim ownership of any third-party product or interface featured on the platform, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the companies featured.

Screenshots are used for identification, commentary, evaluation, and research purposes. Rights holders who prefer not to be featured may request removal as described in our DMCA Policy, and we will honor such requests.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, users may create an account using email and password or Google Sign-In.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and API keys
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

5. Plans, Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid plan. Current plan features, limits, and pricing are described on the pricing page.

  • Payments are processed through Gumroad, a third-party payment provider, and billing information is handled according to Gumroad’s policies.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through Gumroad.
  • Pricing and plan features may change; changes apply from the next billing cycle and material changes will be communicated in advance.
  • Refunds are governed by Gumroad’s policies unless otherwise stated.

We may modify which content or features belong to free and paid tiers. Usage limits (such as monthly plugin inserts) reset on a monthly basis and do not roll over.

6. Figma Plugin

The SaaS Boat plugin for Figma allows you to search and insert content from the library into your Figma files, subject to your plan’s limits.

You agree to:

  • Use your own API key and keep it confidential — keys are personal and may not be shared, published, or resold
  • Respect plan-based usage limits and not attempt to circumvent them
  • Not use the plugin to systematically extract, mirror, or redistribute the library

We may revoke API keys or plugin access for violations of these Terms. The plugin does not access or modify your Figma designs beyond inserting content you request.

7. Content License (What You May and May Not Do)

SaaS Boat’s own content — including the heuristic evaluations, evaluation framework, user flow diagrams, annotations, written analysis, curation, database structure, collections, branding, and website design — is owned by SaaS Boat and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • View and use the content for personal and professional reference, research, education, and internal design work
  • Insert screenshots into your own design files (e.g., via the Figma plugin) as reference material within your design and research workflow
  • Share limited excerpts internally with your team in the course of that work

You may not:

  • Copy, scrape, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or republish the library or any substantial portion of it
  • Reproduce the database, evaluations, diagrams, or collections, in whole or substantial part
  • Use the content to build, train, or populate a competing product, dataset, or service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers, or AI training pipelines) to access or extract content without prior written permission
  • Remove or obscure attribution, watermarks, or proprietary notices

Nothing in this section grants you any rights in third-party products, trademarks, or interfaces featured in the content — those remain governed by Section 2 and their owners’ rights.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or other users’ accounts
  • Circumvent plan limits, paywalls, or access controls
  • Distribute malware or harmful code
  • Disrupt or interfere with the Service

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

9. User Submissions

If you submit content to the Service (such as notes, feedback, or suggestions), you retain ownership of it, but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your submissions do not infringe third-party rights. Copyright concerns are handled under our DMCA Policy.

10. Third-Party Content and Links

The Service may include links to third-party websites or services. SaaS Boat does not control or endorse them and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Users interact with third-party services at their own risk.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify the platform, update features, or suspend or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes affecting paid features.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, your use poses a risk to the platform or other users, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

Upon termination, your access — including plugin access and API keys — may be revoked immediately. Sections 7 (license restrictions), 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” SaaS Boat makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of content (including evaluations, which reflect our assessment at the time of review and may not reflect subsequent product changes), reliability or availability of the Service, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaaS Boat and its operators shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits or business opportunities, data loss, or service interruptions arising from the use or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SaaS Boat and its operators from claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date; material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hanoi, Vietnam.
